Still paying out the rear end for Bush's MORONIC ecological neglect

Categories:

With the acoustic trigger on the exploded/sunk/mega-leaking BP well the Entire Gulf of Mexico and her beaches would have never been fouled.

The acoustic trigger costs about $500,000. Estimated costs of the oil spill to Gulf Coast residents are now upward of $14 billion to gulf state communities.

Bush's 2005 energy bill officially dropped the requirement for the acoustic switch off devices explaining that the industry's existing practices are "failsafe.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. But why should we have to be doomed by a previous occupyer of the White House. We can not try him for his ecological crimes but we can point out the obvious for any and all of those who continue to refuse to learn better. We can also tell them to STFU and use our power in Washington NOW to promote reasonable (NOT Republican) safety standards and to promote alternatives that we have in existence now, today, and which require better funding. The money is all where the oil is and that will have to change one way or another. If regulating the evil bastards won't work then nationalize them and save our waters, our land, our air and our Lives for the love of life!

Wow no wonder Obama was

Wow no wonder Obama was letting BP slide.

While the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign contributions they’ve taken from the oil and gas giant over the years.

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama,

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. He took money from BIG OIL. BIG OIL TGIX. Here TGIX thinks that democrats are not friends of big business yet they get far more campaign donations from big business then republicans.

So why is Bush the one who lowered the safety requirements

Bush's 2005 energy bill officially dropped the requirement for the acoustic switch off devices explaining that the industry's existing practices are "failsafe.

Is is noteworthy how you bitch and moan about money but NOT about the lack of safety due to the fact that Bush lowered the requirements. Had he not done so there would be many more billions of dollars and lives not ruined and this ecologic disaster of gargantuan proportions would have been avoided.

If all you care about is money not morals, please change so as to either lead, follow, or get your fool republican't ass out of the way. We've had all the idiocy out of your kind that we can tolerate in one country's lifetime. Destroy this, destroy that... seems like the only time you'll stop is when there's nothing left or we stop you first. Guess which one it's going to be? We will NOT let you destroy our planet the way you did our economy and our status among other nations in the rest of our world. Whatever planet you think wants you there detroying the place, go and no one cares if the door hits your fool ass on the way out either.

Liars're always caught. But republican'ts like Neers never learn

"This claim lacks one thing: credibility," White House spokesman LaBolt said in a statement. "President Obama didn't accept a dime from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists during his presidential campaign. He raised $750 million from nearly 4 million Americans. And since he became President, he rolled back tax breaks and giveaways for the oil and gas industry, spearheaded a G20 agreement to phase out fossil fuel subsidies, and made the largest investment in American history in clean energy incentives."

BP employees gave more than $3 million in campaign contributions during the past decade and almost $110,000 in 2010.

Fifty-seven percent of BP's contributions went to Republicans, while 43 percent went to Democrats.

Why didn't Obama bring those

Why didn't Obama bring those safety standards back? He had 18 months I will tell why Obama did not bring them back because big oil is in his back pocket enough said. Obama did nothing did not respond because of big oil in his back pocket and did not bring those safety standards back when he had plenty of time and control of the house senate.

Of course that guy is going to say that you think they are going to tell the truth besides according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals.

How do you explain that credible source said he does and they have records of it. Nice try TGIX but you just got owned. Stop talking TGIX because you are really looking like a fool.

Do you ever listen to yourself?

You might want to first remove all hard and sharp objects from within your reach.

Thanks for acknowleding I am right.

When you start insulting then I am right.

Wasn't that same platform.....

touted as THE 'Safest platform' on the water, and that every other platform should follow its example just a few MONTHS before it blew up? TGIX, remind me again, was BUSH still in office? Were the Democrats not in control of Congress two YEARS prior to Obama taking office? Who, by the way, was RUNNING the industry standards during those two years? Who was in charge of giving out the 'Safety Awards' when BP received theirs? The NOBEL PEACE comittee?

Oh and off topic; How are you healing up? You doing alright since the accident?
