have not Once EVER complained about the fact they are forced to buy car insurance yet they believe that the world will actually end and we will all go to hell because of a law that says they have to buy health insurance AND which gives them a myriad of benefits they did not have before.

If you want to drive you have to buy it because you are on public highways. Health insurance you are not on highways. You have to buy it just because the government says you have to. So now those Americans who do not want insurance will be forced by the government to buy it or get fined and better thrown in jail. IRS 16500 new agents. To pry in our lives. While the first sentence you wrote there is arguable, I'll grant you that, the second one however makes no sense what so ever. What difference is there when you drive or when you walk the city streets? In either place you can become insured. When you do become injured and you have no insurance you are putting a tax of sorts on ME because I buy health insurance. When I buy it and a lot of people don't, my cost increases. When everyone buys it, we all save by spreading out the risk pool. If only sick people bought health insurance no one would be able to afford it. That would be exactly like only people who had a car crash buying insurance. Insurance companies would not be in business for even one full day. LOL
And please tell us all why you would favor not having the mandate for insurance companies to stop putting a lifetime minimum of dollars they are to be responsible to pay you?

There have been no fewer than 10 cases of rocks being thrown at windows of Democratic offices in over 3 states, a tremendous number of threatening voice mail and e-mail messages, attempts made at people's lives with the likes of a disconnected propane tank and more. As for the health insurance thing, I'll just say this...
The system that we had wasn't working. Too many American citizens were uninsured or underinsured. They did have healthcare, indirectly, in that when their health was in jeopardy they went to ERs, accruing costs 4x the standard, which hospitals then passed on to the insurance companies, and then it got passed on to the insured. We, the insured/tax payers were already paying for it, just too much. While it's true that the overall Plan was forced through by the Democratic majority, the Republicans made damn sure that it was as aweful as their influence would allow, presumably so they could come back later and say, "See!?! We told you that it would suck!". But for 30 years, nothing has been done to improve the situation and continued stagnation is no longer a viable option. We have yet to see if the Plan will improve or degrade our healthcare situation. If we find that it's faulty, than those faults can be corrected with future legislation. At least now the ball is rolling. I do wish there was an option for individuals to opt-out. The nay-sayers could do so, then die.
