China has hacked GMAIL and put the hack out on the internet. Glad I do not use Gmail. I also heard that Microsoft has given up its source code to certain China officials. How long will it be before they start hacking computers and copying illegal Microsoft programs how stupid was that. Also Intel makes there chips in china now they are finding spyware worms and hack programs on there. This is especially bad for our military can you say cylons anyone.

Be careful. All the big sites are being hacked. That's why I use Yahoo ( they are smaller now!) and even some other small providers when I can.

...yet I do have to say that despite their human rights abuses and disregard for the environment, they've done very little to show hostility towards the U.S. to justify our paranoia about them. They also violate copyrights on the most massive scale but these are economic crimes towards us and no different than our Ruskie comrades.
If China ever wanted to destroy us they could. They have how many billions more people than we do and how much more in the way of natural resources? Their own technology is not so far behind and they learn grow adapt far faster than any other civilization. They're the oldest, that's because they know things we may never comprehend, we who are headed quickly towards complete self anihilation after a mere few hundred years compared to their few thousand.
I'm not saying they're good or bad, not much different than the U.S.'s track record on human rights (slaves anyone? women's rights and even in Today's newspaper about the FBI for 6 years during the Bush administration illegally spying on innocent Americans, wiretapping us and only Later getting warrants.) We haven't exactly been good stewards of our side of the planet either. I mean when was the last time the Chinese bombed another country for imaginary weapons of mass destruction or when was the last time they used nukes?
We need to respect the the Chinese and can get along with them. We've done it and are doing it. The politics of fear is about the only thing that scares me in all this. They steal from us. I get that. It's not good. We should not be naive and trust too much in them either. But let's keep things in perspective. That is all I'm saying. They have more reason to fear us than we do them. We have the far superior ability to wage war and have done it so many more times and savagly burning village after village of people alive with gummy gue called Agent Orange right at their doorstep. They know what it does. It doesn't stop burning - it goes right down to the bone. If I were Chinese I'd be pretty scared of the U.S. And they Need us! We've used them. We've paid for a gazillion cheap priced items from them with Dollars. Their economy would collapse if ours does. They have the most vested interest in Our well being.
It's a strange bedfellows kinda relationship but a delicate one, not one we want to get all cockeyed angry about every time they try to do Exactly what We also do. We spy. That's right folks. We Spy Too. You'd have to have fallen off the proverbial turnip truck head first onto a rock at least a few times to be so foolish as to think for even a second that we don't. So let's just keep it all in perspective. Ever played Liar's Poker? LOL! You have to be a little crazy to be good at it and you have to be a little crazy to understand and thrive in today's world. Ask anyone who lived in Laos or Viet Nam, Korea or other countries we've invaded and then later paid a fortune to rebuild and the people marry our soldiers, come live in the U.S. become Stellar citizens... This is not your grandfather's Oldsmobile. It's been this way for a long time. Intel has been making chips there for quite a good number of years, nothing new there. I admit I thought it was dumber than anything to allow that but that was then and today we're still at peace with each other. There's no reason we can't keep it that way. It's the only intelligent way to be.

IF you are not like me and Chinese reading Your mail would be detrimental to you then don't. If your mail's interception could jeopardize our country's national security in any way then you are a fool to be using Gmail in the first place. It would be your responsibility to use only highly encrypted D.O.D. approved modes of communication because of somewhat overblown worries about China and much more because of the enemies who are terrorizing us like Al Queda who has not one Chinese connection that I am aware of. My brother fought in Nam. It was an ugly war as all wars are ugly please tell me something new. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for bravery under fire. His helicopter was shot down behind enemy lines out of 13 people that were on that chopper 2 only survived the other guy died in my brothers arms he pulled the guy from the wreckage under heavy fire being wounded himself while pulling the guy out of the chopper. Protected the guy under enemy fire. My brother raised his daughter. If anything I ENCOURAGE people to use G-Mail and other Google products. China had demanded that Google censor content of thier searches, Google has responded by saying no thanks and will be leaving the Chinese market. How many other companies would have the balls to pull out of a market as big as China? Google deserves all the accolades they get for a such a bold move, they aren't going to participate in allowing China to keep its citizens in the dark. Yahoo isn't doing the same, Ford, McDonalds, and other companies continue to bow to the pressure of the Chinese government simply to make a few extra bucks.
I could care less if some Chinese nerd wants to hack into my email, in fact I hope they have fun if they get in. If they wanna read the hundreds of peices of Junk mail I get every month, fine enjoy (be sure to open virus laden attachments Mr. Hacker)! Intrested in the newsletters I get? Fine, none of it is illegal and is usually public info. When I do send something private out i usually encrypt it, so even if the message is hacked then they are not going to have an easy time reading it.
The bottom line is that there is nothing online that hasn't been hacked, no matter what some people will claim (ya hear me Linux users). If you are terrified of getting hacked or infected then do yourself a favor and stay off the Web, its dangerous out here.

I agree problem is you have bad leaders that do not see it that way. I live for the day that everyone in the world lives in peace. The day that people put there weapons AK 47s down. You are 100 percent correct however journalist have been using that for a long time. The only true communist I have run across is not a country it was in Israel. They were these place forgive me on the spelling Ikaboots. They are not so much a way of life anymore but very impressive. Everyone was required to work according to there abilities and training. No one earned any money all the food and drink were rationed however they were by no means starving. They did take vans out to town to see movies but the community paid for the movie tickets.
