I really hate to say this, and you'll probably think I'm a horrible person, but I'm going to say it anyway. Reading that whole thread brought out the cynic in me. I've been online for ten years now, and I've heard weird stuff and sob stories enough times to have a red flag instinct that makes me wonder if it's true or not.

na, wabbit, I don't think you are horrible. Whether is it true or not, i couldn't pass up the option to bash raascal for being an ass.

I read the post earlier today and did not have time to add my 2 cents.
I was about to go postal. Anyone that thought there was any truth to that post was being taken for a ride.

Certainly you noticed his post last week where he thanked Paula, and 2 others and made it sound like he was going away...Sorry, but I laughed at that one too....

acting today like he didnt know how to get places but was able to locate this site and log in etc....

but then all of a sudden, they found him....

It was a HOAX and the guy should be ashamed of himself.....

I ALWAYS judge when there's a "hoax" RavenDoD. Remember the story about the boy who cried "wolf"?

As soon as we accept people "hoaxing" us then we can no longer discern a real emergency from a phony one. There are people "hoaxing" that they are going to go blow up or shoot up schools all over the place ever since Virginia Tech. One happened right near here. And my son was put on a "hit list" at his school during "beat up freshman month" (my son's a freshman) - one kid had already been duct taped - hands and feet - and kicked while on the ground. I went Strait to the school and brought my mom who was a school adminstrator herself for many years. When we spoke with the vice principal, at once point he tried to say the incident with the other kid that was kicked while down on the ground with taped hands and feet was "in on it" that is was "just a joke". Now my mother is the least violent person on this planet and nearly jumped out of her chair to jump right down his freaking face at the very same time I nearly did the same. There can be NO tolerance, ZERO tolerance for such things. Not in this world these days.

Anyone in such need of help that they have to do what they think is "just a joke" but they KNOW will alarm a lot of people, take from our valuable time, from our time dealing with our own lives, our problems, the problems of others who actually need help, those people should just end it and I don't care if they do. Sounds harsh? Sorry if it does. I've seen it happen so many times it's not even remotely funny. Go try doing that to 911. Call 911 and play "pranks" and see how THEY handle it. You're ass would be in jail. Why then should any of us who are well meaning and caring people mean any less than the good people at 911 call centers? We have lives too. We have our own needs and the needs of our loved ones to care for too. We do NOT need to be wreckless taken away from any of that for someone's sick AMUSEMENT. That is PRECISELY what it was, the punk's own lousy AMUSEMENT at OUR expense.
