Music
I am trying to open myself up to new music. I know a lot of us are from different parts of the country so I thought it would be fun to list some of our favorite artists. Maybe some of us have never heard of them before. Here are mine not in any order
1.Norah Jones
2.Ray Lamontagne
3.Paolo Nutini
4.Prince
5.Ben Harper
6.Chantal Kreviazuk
7.Citizen Cope
8.Depeche Mode
(and your typical classic rock, r&b, country and much more)

Ok ok. Remember I said they were in no specific order. I just recently went to her concert and that's why I thought of her name first. But we also saw Prince in Vegas at the RIO and I was able to go on stage and dance with him. Now you can believe me or not but it's true. So yes I agree NOBODY should go above prince. Not even Norah Jones. Besides it's different music. Can't compare the 2.

I still have never been to a concert. Damn every one that I have wanted to go to is either sold out in 5 minutes (no joke), had to work, or had no one to go with. (Family and friends all live in different states or country)
We went to the one in Los ...
We went to the one in Los Angeles when he was touring a few years ago. He did a lot of his old stuff. Then we went to the Rio in Vegas. Front row cause it was general admission. It was so awesome. He is the only one I will pay $$$$$ to see. Well worth it. He puts on such a great show. Although he does make you wait. We waited for 2 hours for the show in vegas but he played for 2.5 hours. And going on stage was worth any wait. Too bad he doesn't let you take pics at his concerts or I would have proof. He has thrown people out for taking pictures.

LOL CR1978. I actually just copied them off of my MySpace profile so it was already done, didn't have to try and remember them all and retype. Glad you like so many of the same ones. There hasn't been as much I care for in recent years but I try and give some of the newer stuff a chance too. Music that's met the test of time usually works best for me and I can usually pick which song will when I first hear it.

I care. I think it's great when people listen to the greatest of the greats. The had messages to convey, unlike so much of the pop garbage. I listen not just for the groove but for the message. For instance, if you can get a hold of it, check out Baby Lemonade by Syd Barrett. LOL
