Bush threatens our safety once again for his own personal gain.

There is simply no other way to interpret it. Once more, Bush plays "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" to divert attention, this time afraid of congress getting too much attention in their attempt this evening to end the disastrous war in Iraq. There will be a fillibuster overnight and Bush just can't stand that so he endangers all of our safety, as he has done so many times before, by claiming that the national safety alert level must be raised.

A) It's dangerous as hell to cry wolf. If you are the only person on Earth who hasn't heard the story, I'm sure you can find "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" in ANY public library and at your fingertips right now online.

B) Bush has not been right once yet in dozens of identical ploys that are designed to scare us out of being aware of, or caring about, attempts to stop his insane war.

C) Every day, more and more of Bush's own republican supporters are now publicly questioning his mental/emotional stability. This is no longer partisan politics. The man is a raging maniac. You KNOW that when his own supporters, who have always followed him to the gates of hell, refuse to step in. They've thrown their own grandmothers in but they refuse to follow anymore. That is something I never thought I'd live to see.

D) The war drones on killing more and more of our soldiers and more innocent Iraqis along with some "insurgents" (which is just a euphemism for resisters. If another country attacked us, unprovoked, the LAST thing we would call our resisters is "insurgents"). Propaganda kills when it fools anyone into continuing the insane war.

E) Stress Kills! Bush unnecessarily subjects us all to extra stress. Stress is the #1 killer in our country already. Bush is killing us, quite literally, here at home in our own country with his lies.

F) Don't like this because it's "politics", don't read it then, the post is properly categorized and you have the controls to skip over it. To complain that it's "politics" or "more of the same" is to be foolish and allow a mad man to continue to kill innocent American citizens both here and abroad so that he and Cheney can profit off of no-bid Halliburton contracts worth billions and billions of our tax dollars. It is beyond sinful. It is beyond wreckless. It is a crime against humanity and one that should be discussed and acted upon until the Bush blood bath is finally stopped.

Thats all democrat hogwash ...

Thats all democrat hogwash that basically translates into the fact Bush is the outgoing president and a small number of other repubs are just avoiding their own political mess at the hands of supporting a lame duck prez. Bush has never subjected me to so much as a milligram of stress. In fact my life has been basically stress free since Clinton left office. Ya wanna talk about stress, 8 years of Clinton resulted in more Americans being diagnosed as clinically depressed during that 8 year period than in any other 8 year period on record. And finally, at least Halliburton is not "outsourcing" all of its jobs to non Americans.

Oh, and good to see you in ...

Oh, and good to see you in your old form.

Huh? R U ...

Huh?

R U serious?

Clinton's two terms were marked by the highest satisfaction rates of this century. People were enjoying peace and prosperity instead of divisiveness and destruction, destruction of our people being killed in Iraq, destruction of our environment and economy, destruction of our civil rights, destruction of our judicial system... You have to be joking, either that or in a complete fog. You are in the very small minority, that if for certain. Bush's disapproval rating is the highest of any president in our lifetimes, even worse than Nixon's rating. Are you just trying to snow us or do you actually believe that Bush has done anything other than destroy our country, dismantling it systematically as best as he can. That is the only thing he's been effective at.

"Clinton€™s two terms were ...

"Clinton€™s two terms were marked by the highest satisfaction rates of this century" - to who ? I don't know anybody who would agree with that. It all depends on WHO "compiles" the information. Those survey results can't be counted on as being accurate BECAUSE you have to know who the source is. I can't think of one thing Bush has done to "destroy our country." As far as I can tell we still have our freedons, we can still badmouth the govt, all the streets in central Texas are good, I have plenty of food, a nice home, Im making more money than I ever have in the past, nation wide crime is at an all time low, not gone but lower overall, less people are being murdered and more murderers are getting the needle, I could go on and on. So, until the things the politicians in washington do affect the above things and the ones too numerous to list, I have to say, respectfully, I completely disagree with the statement that Bush has or is destroying our country.

I can€™t think of one ...

I can€™t think of one thing Bush has done to €œdestroy our country.€

I listed them.

You may be doing well but overall, most Americans are not. More are hungry, we are all facing CRUSHING national debt that WILL have to be paid. More have jobs but they have to, they need two jobs each, both husband and wife, and STILL can't make ends meet due to lower wages because of jobs being shipped overseas and illegal immigrants taking jobs here at lower wages depressing the average salary. We're all in worse shape according to Bush himself when it comes to terror threats (oh yeah, that's total BS that he only trots out when he wants to distract us from bad news about the job he's doing like tonight when congress brought out the cots, literally, to pull an all nighter over trying to get us out of this COMPLETELY disastrous war in Iraq. I suppose you feel the many tens of thousands permanently crippled in that war and the nearly 4 thousand dead are doing better? Get a grip on reality. Then there's the environment. It's never been in worse shape and all the lies in the world won't change that. Bush gives away FREE 6 thousand pounds or larger urban assault vehicles to the ultra rich on the backs of the middle class and the poor tax payers so they can guzzle gas and pollute, guzzling gas raises demand and raises OUR gas prices. And then he gives tiny to zero (going down to zero quickly) rebates for the most fuel efficient hybrids. WTF! You call that sensible or anything but DEstructive? Civil liberties are being killed off by the minute. You say one thing wrong and you can be carted off to Gitmo with NO right to an attorney, no right to meet your accuser, NO right to defend yourself and you can be TORTURED. To say that civil liberties haven't been decimated is either out of COMPLETE ignorance or you are being COMPLETELY disingenuous. There is no other excuse.

"they need two jobs each" ...

"they need two jobs each" - I think is because most choose to live outside their means. Its not a result of inflation or higher taxes or anything like that. Its a choice. Just like its a choice to be homeless for most.

"illegal immigrants taking jobs here at lower wages depressing the average salary" - The repubs are trying to put a stop to this but the demos are putting up a fierce battle to prevent us from jailing the business owners that hire them. The illegals are not doing the jobs Americans don't want, they are doing the jobs the business owners refuse to hire Americans to do because its cheaper than hiring Americans. ( taxes, workers comp insurance etc )

"I suppose you feel the many tens of thousands permanently crippled in that war and the nearly 4 thousand dead are doing better?" - They are proudly doing what they volunteered to do, what most Americans are to chicken to do.

"say one thing wrong and you can be carted off to Gitmo with NO right to an attorney" - There 's is not a single case of an American citizen being subjected to this. They are all foreign enemies.

Dammit!! I'm getting a call, gotts go for now.

TGIX - who do you want to ...

TGIX - who do you want to replace Bush and Cheney?

Anybody else would be an ...

Anybody else would be an improvement.

I'm watching the campaigns but it's been boring lately, there's not much going on right now. They tend to hold off in summer while so many people are on vacation. It'll start up again before long though and then I'm sure we'll wish it hadn't.

I have not seen ANYBODY ...

I have not seen ANYBODY yet that looks good. There is nobody in the running at this point that would be of any benefit to the country.

VOTE FOR ME!!!

VOTE FOR ME!!!

Wasn't there once a guy ...

Wasn't there once a guy who tried to get on the ballot with his name changed to "None of the above"?

Hahaha, that's a good idea ...

Hahaha, that's a good idea he had!! I heard there are so many people that vote for Mickey Mouse every year...

Last year I didn't like any of the candidates, and Cartoon Network ran some commericals with the Family Guy show - "Vote Peter Griffen" and "Vote Stewie Griffen".... I voted for Stewie!
