There's no one in my circle of friend with whom I can speak about my interest in soccer. They are all into college football and NASCAR which I totally don't get, but I can at least carry on a conversation about them.

it is amazing how the sport is so popular worldwide (worth fighting over no doubt), yet in the U.S. most youth play until they are about 10 years old and then stop. that is the extent of american enthusiasm. maybe beckham can change that...
