My dog did what?

I have a yellow full blooded lab named Peyton. He is 3 years old, and is the biggest Pu$$y of a dog you will ever meet. My toy schnauzer Alex is scarrier than Peyton.

So I hear a "honk" and go look out my window. I have 3, yes 3, County Sheriff's cars sitting IN my yard, not my driveway, my YARD. So I go outside, and walk to a window of the car infront, and ask can I help them.

He tells me that he just got a complaint that my dog BIT a 26 year old lady down the road. He said that she said the dog from this house bit her. I am shocked. Peyton barks at cars, but doesn't chase them. He will walk away from the street and up to the house when people get on our property, and will go to the door when the mean ass kids from the neoghborhood throw rocks at him.  But this bitch said he BIT her, ripped her pants, but didn't leave a mark or break skin.

At this point ANOTHER Sheriff car pulls up, and the one I was talking to told me to go to her to give her my information. As I walk to her she said, "This  is a yellow Lab, not a red pit bull." A RED PIT BULL?? HOW IN THE HELL WOULD YOU GET THE COLORS RED AND YELLOW MIXED UP, AND A LAB LOOKS NOTHING LIKE A PIT BULL!!!!!

I told them I am totally shocked, and they got out of their car and started to play fetch and frisbee with my dangerous dog. One said that he didn't think this goofy pup he was playing with could hurt anyone, bacause he saw how Peyton listened to sit, heel, no, and stay. I told them I have NEVER had a complaint with him, other than the old man that walks the block carries a tennis ball with him so he can throw it in my yard so peyton won't follow him home.....yeah that works....but he olny "jokingly fusses" "You big silly dog, go home, I can't throw the ball anymore!"

So they can't tell me who the victem is, but they write me a citation, cause I can't find his shot records, but I am getting a copy from the vet tomorrow. And the citation might be dropped.

Now he is listed as a "visious(sp) dog" and next time he will be uthanised. I want to find out who the liar is, because this dog doesn't leave our property....except to follow the old man so he will throw the ball for him again. How do you get a dog that  you see every day sitting in a front yard mixed up  with the wrong color and breed? She has to pass our house to get to her own, so I know she knows what my dog looks like.

she's an ass for that!! you THINK you'd KNOW what dog tried to bite you!!!

Even in Texas it takes ...

Even in Texas it takes damn near an act of congress to have a dog put down due to its "viciousness."

As far as the "mix up." If this woman is dumb enopugh to mistake a lab and a pit bull, it would be my guess that she knew there were dogs at YOUR house and thats why she told the cops the dog that bit her lived there.

Where you only cited for the shot records, or did they add the Dog a Large charge as well? I would think if they were going to determine that YOUR dog bit this lady than they would HAVE to show the dog was, number one, YOURS, number two, roaming around unsupervised.

just for records, but I ...

just for records, but I got them today so it might/should get dropped. There is no leash law in the country, so they really couldn't do much else. The Sheriff's thought the "victim" was full of shit too.

Cool. I would imagine the ...

Cool. I would imagine the ticket will be dropped then. Maybe a court cost though.

All I have to say is if ...

All I have to say is if you let your dog run around unleashed then don't be one of those "not my dog" owners. My neighbor's little bitch charged after my kids as they were walking down the sidewalk. She is never on leash and supposedly has never done this before. She acted like she didn't believe me. Maybe a dead dog on her front lawn will convince her.

I am not trying to be one ...

I am not trying to be one of those people. I delivered mail for a living, so I know all about those people and their dogs. My dog knows no strangers. Even when he has been provoked, he comes back to the portch. He is not always off a leash, most of the time he is in the back yard or front yard. Very rarely is he out of the fence, except to occasionally follow the old man home.

That is some shit i hope ...

That is some shit i hope that the bitch get bit by an actuall dog no yours because he sounds like the nicest thing in the world compared to other dogs the same breed as he is. I hope that the charges are droped and everything goes well.

You have a yellow lab and ...

You have a yellow lab and NOT a pit bull...

Your neighbor says.."This is a yellow lab..NOT a pit bull" as you walk down to her house with YOUR dog

A pit bull obviously bit her and not your yellow lab...

So..MY question is...what the heck is up with you getting a citation??
