I am not a deer!

I'll start off with Transportation, since it's one of my worst. At this moment my main mode of transportation is my bicycle. I don't really mind having to ride my bike everywhere, but some people who drive cars are rather rude to bicyclist. At times I have to ride my bike somewhere in the rain, or snow, and sometimes in the hot or cold. It seems any time I have to ride my bike in the rain, there is always some rude idiot in their warm, dry car who doesn't have the courtesy to let me cross the street, or drives by at a good speed and splashes me with the rain water.

Another thing as far as my transportation issues go is, I often walk instead of riding my bike. And there seems to be some people who think they own the sidewalks in front of their houses/stores and they leave their cars/store goods on the sidewalk. Now this is all fine and dandy sometimes, but not when I have to walk in a ditch to get around it especially after a really good rain, when I'm walking to somewhere important. There is a Car Repair/sales place here in town, it's on the main street, and of course usually there is a lot of traffic on the street.. well the smart people at this place like to put their cars that are for sale right in the middle of the sidewalk, and I either have to walk around them on the actual street or squeeze in between the building and cars.

it seems there are a few people that are the complete opposite of the rude, inconsiderate drivers I mentioned in my first post. These are the people who, when we are both on a 4 way stop, me on my bike, they in a car, I'm feeling all nice and even though I have the right of way I'll wave them on, only to be waved on by them... I mean c'mon I waved you on first! lol. These are probably the same people who, when they see me on my bike must think I'm a 3 year old on a tricycle, I'll be stopped at a stop sign, and I'll be waiting for them to go by so I can cross the street, and they will slow down to a complete stop, or just slow down a lot... One time I was just sitting at a stop sign, waiting for a chance to cross the street, and this older lady slammed on her brakes when she saw me, and the car behind her rear ended her. It's like they expect bicyclist to run out in front of them. We are people not deer! lol.

Don't get me started on ...

Don't get me started on the bicycle jerks. I ranted about them before. Specifically how they REFUSE to abide by the traffic laws that dictate how they must behave when riding their little bicycles on the roadways. It comes as no surprise to me that we get called time and time again about these suckslaps getting in the way of vehicles. We've had two get hit by cars in the last year. Both were the fault of the cyclists. And yes even while they were in the hospital I would have ticketed them if I was the one investigating the accident. But I wasn't, I only assisted. Idiots.

LOL, suckslaps!!! I'm ...

Hey Josh-- keep ridin' ...

Hey Josh-- keep ridin' your bike! Follow the law and get plate numbers of cars who don't. Give them to the cops once a month. If they're like ours , if they see a pattern they start keeping an eye for the car because that person is more likely to be breaking other traffic laws too.
I like our town because we have bike paths all over the place. Nearby towns have bike lanes on major roads and if you get caught driving a car in that lane the fine will put a dent in your wallet.
