And that proves what? These were mostly people who were big in the heyday of Hip Hop, and if you read the captions most of them are making more money off endeavors not related to music.

The point is that they're not making the money off Hip Hop anymore, they must realize that the industry isn't the cash cow it once was and that is why they are branchinf out. Show me the rappers on this list who make thier money solely on the rap. Hey were are the women on this list?

I think what rkinne01 is saying is that rap and hip-hop aren't what they used to be. think people are at a point where they're waiting for the next big thing in music to show itself. Hip hop and rap as we know it is still getting the job done for many but like I said everybody's waiting for something new to come along.

that's true, they produce for many. I'm no BIG fan of the new stuff myself, mostly old school, look at myspace on my music list and you'll see what I mean, but I just don't see it slowin down anytime soon, but I don't care much for the "new" sounds, very few of the new ones that come out do I like.
I give it a try and listen but the only one I've taken to is Ludacris, I like him, his raps are funny and he DOES NOT talk about killin people.
