If you remember my gripe from the other day about my coworker talking shit to me about my clothes, etc...most of you were right on the money about her not being happy with herself, and her size but just had to tell you that her usual lunch is the double cheeseburger meal from Mickey D's. So I asked her the other day if thats what she got and she actually said to me that, No she has graduated to the Quarter Pounder...
WTF? shes griping because I care about how I look??
I don't tell her that she is fat because she feeds her face all the time.....maybe I should????

I don't like Quarter Pounders. Since being mean to her isn't going to work and you don't want to come down to her level, I guess just ignore her until you just can't deal with anymore and tell the boss or supervisor what is going on. If you make the comment above to her it is going to open a can of worms that you probably don't want to deal with.

It's not like me usually to be mean to people. I think mean thoughts sometimes but don't usually verbalize them. I have made comments in the past, tabout how I drink alot of water when I feel hungry, so that I don't over eat, when the subject has come up.She doesnt't even respond. She is definitely a comforter eater, but there are other ways to make yourself feel better, and alot healthier. I take pride in the way I look. No one says you have to be a frumpy, dumpy middle age woman. You sometimes have to put a little more effort into it as we age.

next time she says something about your weight and what you are wearing ask her if she would like help dieting then start talking about healthy nutrition. if you do that each time she will either stop mentioning it or start to lose herself. LOL

It seems as though she doesn't care too much about her own image or health - she MUST know tht her diet is unhealthy and unattractive! Maybe that's why she always has something negative to say to you -out of guilt and/or embarrassment. People have to want to help themselves. I just started drinking ...
I just started drinking lots of water, no pop, and eating lots of fruits during the day and a Lean Cuisine meal for dinner with water again, or a Healthy Choice meal and nothing after 6 or 7 pm unless its more water… rice cakes or graham crackers or special k bars for a snack during the day. I am not hungry either. water fills you up actually. You have to be disciplined and once you start seeing the weight come off its actually an incentive even if its just a pound or 2 at a time, you cant give up though. You have to just train yourself to not eat what you have to fix for the others, like if you have kids..set yourself a goal that you want to lose X amount of pounds by a certain date, and make it a realistic amount.

i cut soda out completely and i was still gaining weight. i have now also reduced the sizes of my meals. its only been 2 weeks of that, so i still have a while before i see results. all i drink is water or lemonade. (and wine :-D).

water ISN'T the problem for me and I don't drink soft drinks, it's the junk food, I don't eat all day long but I think it may be too late when I eat and I feel like I want something sweet after eating a meal, I don't fry foods, we have a grill, junk food is my problem, I exercise also but I need to watch my food intake and the times I eat too.

well i walk a mile 3 nights a week but thats the amount of actual "exercise" I get. If you start checking the fat and calorie content in the junk food, you may think twice about eating it or at least alot of it..also, if you do not eat during the day at all then your body thinks it is starving and it will actually store fat and it makes it harder to lose weight..you should try to eat something during the day..fruit or something...I am no expert but this works for me. It may be worth a try..
