IN THIS DAY NOW, I "THOUGHT" PEOPLE KNEW THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS!!!!  I HOPE THEY FIND THE MOTHER AND DO SOMETHING TO HER!!!  people should know by now that they can drop babies off to certain places no questions asked!!!

I saw this on TV. Kudos to the boys for paying attention. Dawn, I don't know why the mother didn't drop her child off at the police station or some other safe location. It could be that she didn't want anyone finding out she had delivered a baby at all. I hope the baby finds a GREAT home filled with lots of love.

but these places are "NO QUESTIONS ASKED" so they wouldn't have cared who she was if she didn't want them to know she gave birth!! they use fake names all the time when people drop babies off.

TRUE STORY: A local ...

TRUE STORY: A local doctor friend and his wife have four beauties of their own, but had actually considered adding to their family by way of adopting. They had tossed the idea around for some time, and had made plans to adopt a child from another country.

The doc's wife (also a doctor) was working at the hospital around Thanksgiving when a mother came in to deliver her 8th child. The mother was from a location two states away. She had to deliver here because she was visiting and went into labor earlier than was her expected due date.

She was caucasian, young (about 30), and with no known detriments to her health, such as drug or alcohol use/abuse. She gave her child up for adoption because she "knew she could not take care of an 8th child when she already had 7 others." This child literally and figuratively fell into the doctors' hands. The mother completely gave up her rights to the child and the adoption will be finalized in a few short weeks. The father, to my knowledge, also gave up his rights to the child.

This is so amazing to me. I am happy for my friends, of course, but I also wonder what this mother told her other 7 kids when she finally was discharged and returned home without a baby. :(
