NEW CAR Boo-Boo

Yesterday, at 4 o'clock, Rosie, the other girl I work with was getting off work, so I was going to run into to town to the bank, then go get me a soda.....she asked if she could ride with me. So I let her. Some guys from the shop were in front of us, they had just got off too. They were turning right at the stop sign, and were cocked to the side, and I was going to go straight around them. I am NOT used to my new gas pedal, or break for that matter, because in my old xterra, you had to have the pedal to the floor almost for it go any where. So I am turning my wheel with my foot about to slowly tap the gas to get around him, and I hit the gas to hard, before my wheel was fully turned, and my truck lunged forward! I have a girl in my passenger side who is about to deliver in less than 23 days, and I just got her into a fu<king wreck! I feel like SHlT! Not to mention this is in the car I have had for 2 weeks! So The truck in front pulls forward, and he just has a busted tail light. Wow! Then my truck can't be that bad, right??? Well, I get out to go look, and no that is NOT the case! I hit his driverside tail light RIGHT on my Passenger side blinker. The fender is pushed back, so the passenger side door wouldn't open, and one of the guys was going to tell Rosie to climb out the driver side, I said "No", and I yanked the door open, messing it up at the panel nearest the fender. I made her get out, and sit on the grass while I called the cops and told them to send an emt to check her over. After the cops got there, I finished looking at my car. The grill is cracked in one place, otherwise would be perfect, the hood is crunched right above the blinker, it will need to be replaced as weel as the bumper and light. I will upload a pic when I can. I still had the freaking dealer tags on it! Oh well, I feel no sentiment twards this car as some people might, I am just so freakin worried about Rosie. He stomach was hurting where her seatbelt tightened below her belly. I got my cell to call Clint, while they were checking Rosie's blood pressure in the ambulance. The bastard hung up on me! So I am seething right now, I was only mad at myself for getting into a wreck with a pregnant woman in my car, but now I am mad at a di<khead, who NEVER asked if either one of us was ok! That freakin truck can be replaced, Rosie, "Trey" the baby, and I CANNOT! So now all kinds of words are coming to my mouth when I see him pull up..........he gets out of his truck, and walks straight to the damaged side of the car, looks at it, then walks off to his truck. NOW I AM READY TO RIP HIS FUKKING HEAD OFF! We get everything cleared up, the cop says "Well this is a hell of a way to meet the new city employee.." trying to make me smile, didn't work. He said we could go, and didn't give me a ticket. So I turned around and drove the 2 blocks to the office, got Rosie out, made her put her feet up, and get an apointment with her doctor. She called me last night to tell me everything was fine. Thank GOD! I had been pacing circles in my floor!

I will rave about Clint later, when I have enought time to sit and do so!

Wow, that smacks of a not-so-great way to end the day, but I am thankful Rosie, her baby, and you are all okay. Men tend to react in extreme opposite to the way women react, in just about any situation. Try not to be too mad at Clint -- but he owes you, big time, lol!

im glad you and your ...

im glad you and your friend are ok. sorry you smashed your truck. but yes, keep in mind that it is just an object, and it can be replaced. as long as everyone is fine...thats all that matters. clint needs to get slapped but like nestle said, dont be too mad at him. but he needs to get his prorities straight. *kicks clint*

MEN!!!!..LOL
Glad everyone is okay..Sorry about your truck..

<p>So glad to hear ...

So glad to hear everyone was OK, at least physically. Hope you can be OK with Clint emotionally too.

One other bright side, 'cause I know how women are about anniversaries of just about anything, you won't be thinking of the accident that way until another four years!

Back to the business with Clint though; stopping distance is a bit of a metaphor here. When there are mishaps or any emotional situations, people all need to leave a little stopping distance than at other times, in other words, take a step back, count to ten...

Men do tend to get more emotional about things like cars. Women get more emotional about other things. We all have to be aware of that and remember how people count first always.

I wish you better luck and at times like this am reminded of Navin (Steve Martin) in The Jerk. In one scene he's about to buy a house when a plane crashes right into it. He says "I'll take it!" and the realtor looks at him like he's a complete nut, of course he is but he does have a good point in his comeback when he blurts out "What are the chances of That happening again?!" May your new truck be forever more accident free and airplane crash free too. :-)

YEAH, WOW, me too, glad ...

YEAH, WOW, me too, glad everything worked out not TOO bad, but the car can be fixed and we have insurance for silly things like this...and Clint...well he'll live...accidents are JUST that..he needs to chill!
