People who use briefcases on wheels in NYC

I work in Manhattan and have been noticing an increasing trend in the way people bring their belongings to work.  I can understand that when you are traveling it's very convenient to use a suitcase on wheels to avoid having to carry all of your belongings throughout the airport etc. but these new briefcases on wheels are a hazard to the normal New Yorker who actually carries a briefcase or wears a backpack.  Walking down the street during the morning hustle and bustle can be pretty tricky as is, throw in a lazy commuter dragging everything they own behind them and the experience becomes much more aggravating.  

 Seriously people... Is it really that difficult to hold on to your bag?  You walk around with your headphones on or talking on your cell phones dragging around a moving obstacle tripping everyone that you come in contact with and the worst part is that you are oblivious to the fact that you are even creating a dangerous walking environment.  

Lift some weights, buy a backpack, do whatever it is you need to do to be strong enough to actually carry your 4 files, laptop  and perhaps an apple that ways less than a lb.  Maybe this is contributing to the obesity in America...just a thought.
