This is why I HATE media coverage of campaigns durings election years . . .
I will take a look at how the Media is covering the Democrat race between Obama and Clinton: I have seen scant coverage of what would make either candidate better than the other, but I HAVE seen much about Obama would probably win in the Southern states because he is Black, but Clinton would win the female vote because she is a woman!
Alright, so what I am seeing from the media is they do NOT believe Americans have ANY depth to our thought processes, but play the old high school style game of, who is 'popular' and who is MOST like me. Alright, so if THAT is their game, should we Americans step up and 'FORCE' the coverage to be more towards ABILITIES and NOT towards race/gender? After all, aren't we trying to 'HEAL' this country's racial/gender divide? How can we hope to do so as long as the media continues to focus on these OBVIOUS differences? And they do no better with covering the Republican candidates, what with their continuous pointing out who is a part of which religion, who CARES? WHICH is the BEST QUALIFIED? Does ANY of the MEDIA (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, MSNBC, CNN, Headline News, AP, REUTERS, LA TIMES, The WALL STREET JOURNAL, USA TODAY, etc.) have the SLIGHTEST clue which really WOULD be the best for ALL of us? DO they? Do WE? How would we 'know' since MOST if not ALL of the media outlets have played this SAME game since day ONE of this country's inception!
It isn't as though the people in Washington, ANY of them give a rat's PETARD about what WE THE PEOPLE want! The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi has even said, in response to the race between Obama and Clinton being so close, '. . . but we will CONSIDER the will of the people.' when considering who will be the Democrat nomination for President. Now, you all know I am mostly NOT a Democrat so I don't truly understand the caucuses, but does this sound like Pelosi, the Speaker of the House (and most powerful Democrat in congress right now) CARES about 'the will of the people? Not to me it doesn't, but again, I am not a Democrat, but I suspect there aren't many Democrats that would agree with what she said. 'Consider the will' is NOT the same as 'FOLLOW the will'. So I guess in the end, those of you voting in the Democrat Caucasus’s won't actually be making a vote that COUNTS will you?

I voted in the primary here in Michigan, but none of the politcians say anything that we haven't heard before. I'll likely not even vote in November.
