Meat eating Americans beware, YOU could be NEXT . . .

I hate to tell 'em, but if ...

I hate to tell 'em, but if they even THINK they can get this passed and impose it on patrons, a LOT of businesses will lose a LOT of business.

Not everyone who is obese is on Medicare, and not all who are obese are that way because they sit around gorging themselves.

GIMME A BREAK! What's next, regulating how often we can have bowel movements???

There are laws to stop ...

There are laws to stop drunks from being served anymore when they've already had enough.

What's the difference?

TGIX, the difference is ...

TGIX, the difference is that a person is not endangering the lives of others by driving obese. Laws governing alcohol consumption are in place to protect restauranteurs/bar owners from being sued if a patron, whom they have continued to serve, leaves their facility, gets behind the wheel of a vehicle, and kills someone while driving said vehicle. There is no evidence of which I am aware where an obese person killed someone with his/her vehicle after having had 2 whoppers and a hot fudge sundae.

When alcohol is involved, mental impairment occurs, which is why those who have been drinking (not just "drunk") should never get behind the wheel and attempt to drive. With food, you may well be endangering your own life, but you're not likely to pose a threat to anyone else.

so what are they gonna ...

so what are they gonna do, WEIGH everybody BEFORE they sit down to a table?? HEY, FAT PEOPLE ARE WHAT KEEPS THESE RESTAURANTS IN BUSINESS!!! IDIOTS!!! if people want to eat too much and kill themselves, then LET 'EM!! they're not physically hurting anyone else!!

Dawn, that's EXACTLY what ...

Dawn, that's EXACTLY what this bill is proposing -- that the restaurants have scales that people have to weigh-in on; if the "criteria" is met that an individual is obese according to the guidelines set forth, then that individual will not be allowed to dine in the establishment.

I wonder what they would do if a party of 6 came to the restaurant to eat, but only 2 were not obese? WACKOS!!

Next it will be that you ...

Next it will be that you can't wear a swimsuit unless your cup size is 36-38 -- no members of the itty-bitty-titty committee allowed. Or gray-haired folks won't be allowed to attend movies geared towards the 30-something crowd. We'll all have to get our doctors to write prescriptions for Fixodent 'cause we won't be able to buy it to give as a gag gift -- we can only buy it IF we REALLY DO HAVE DENTURES.

GIVE ME A BREAK. :(

yeah, i want to see a ...

yeah, i want to see a bunch of fat politicians pass a bill like that. can you see ted kennedy being denied service because he is overweight?

you said it!!!

you said it!!!

Mary, if Ted is merely ...

Mary, if Ted is merely "overweight," he can still eat. Only if he's OBESE will he not be able to partake. :( Bummer.

"he is just trying to get ...

"he is just trying to get our goat"

LOL! I don't want your goat. You can eat that and everything else you want to. Just don't try and eat it in my restaurant. When I open my restaurant I am going to not only refuse all eaters of foi gras (produced by torturing ducks and geese to the point that some of them literally EXPLODE form the force feeding to fatten their livers) but I am also going to ban all goat eaters, I will serve NO goat so that no one can get MY goat! LOL! And fat customers will have to wait at the end of the line, wait and wait until they are No Longer Fat! I won't have killing people by enabling their eating disorder on MY head. People get sued for LOTS Less than that! Blame the lawyers. Oh, that's right, they're all fat too. Well, blame them anyway; they're so lacking in morals they'll sue anyone for anything regardless.

But seriously, there is such a concept as "responsibility". When one serves a drunk more liquor they are responsible for the outcome. When one serves an obese person more food they too are responsible in the very same way. Who can deny that? The only reason it isn't politically correct to say so is that food is a necessity but it is NOT, not ALWAYS, NOT for a grotesquely obese person! Once people can get that through their thick skulls we can do them justice. It is justice to refuse a drunk more drink. It is justice to refuse any drug addict more drugs. It is justice to refuse a food addict more food by the very same reasoning. And on that score I am dead serious.

Ever been bumped (literally) out of a buffet line by the obese? I have. I needed food. I need food on a regular basis, three times a day is good. Less than that and I, being fit, being one who does not store a lot of extra EXTRA fat in his body, can not function well. I get dizzy. I'm not diabetic or anything like that, I'm just normal. I eat when I'm hungry. I need food to live because I am a human being, a living breathing animal. Those BEASTS however will quite literally push you right out of line to feed their food addiction. Fuck them. My restaurant would ban them altogether if it were legal.
