The Dark Knight: A Rave and Rant

I just got in from seeing this movie. Great movie, awesome story, and Heath Ledger was just sensational. I can't say enough about how great this movie really is! Heather Ledger really does deserve to win best actor for his portrayl of Joker, he smoked Nicholson's version.

I only wish the joker was real so he could have murdered some of the jerks in the audience. The people behind us talked for half the damn movie, the woman in front of us was pulling out her damn cell phone to check the time every 5 minutes, and a guy was yelling at the screen all the time!

wow, that's good to know ...

wow, that's good to know cuz I ♥ heath ledger and I wanna see it so bad.
and there are always some assholes in the movies to ruin it, huh??

I had that same problem ...

I had that same problem last weekend when my daughter and I went to go see "Journey to the center of the earth in 3D". The people behind us talked so much, and then this stupid guy had ants in his pants and kept walking all around the theatre and would stand in front of us and block the view of us.

Like I told my daughter, we'll just wait for it to come out on DVD and either rent it or buy it.

*giggle* he had ants in ...

adam saw the movie last night. i told him before he left to refrain from coming in and start babbling to me about the movie like he always does. lol. he comes in late, i wake up, and then he starts going on about the movie. he was sweet enough not to do it this time. he did go on about it a bit when i was leaving for work. lol. he LOVED it. said that heath ledger should at the very least be nominated for the oscar.

I want to see the movie ...

I want to see the movie but I don't have the time nor anyone to watch the children.

As far as rude people, it extends to live shows too. Last weekend I took the kids to see the Backyardigans live at the Crown. First off my hubby paid for thre adult tickets. They didn't have children tickets. Now I understand parents or adults coming to bring the young one to see the show, but what PISSED me off was there were adult who would put their kids in front of the adults sitting in the row behid them and they would sit in front of the small children.

I ended up sitting with both my kids sitting on my lap during the whole 90 minute show. I made sure that I said "It is a damn shame that adults have to be rude and sit in front of children and block them from seeing a show" loud enough to the lady next to me who had the same problem. The only thing we got were nasty looks and sore legs.

ooh, that sucks, kat. ...

ooh, that sucks, kat.

i think the only time i ever had an issue with rude people at the theatre was when i went to see maid in manhattan. there was a group of girls, about our age at the time, who were laughing and yapping through the whole movie. one of my friends turned around and told her, "could you please keep it down?" they laughed at us and continued talking and laughing. they finally got up to use the bathroom or something...they left their coats on their seats. it was then that i decided to toss a few ice cubes on their coats. but that wasnt enough. we started pouring our sodas on their coats. and finally hid the coats down the aisle. they came back a few minutes later and started hollering about how someone stole their coats. they left and didnt come back during the whole movie. a few people clapped for us and were laughing at what we had done. *pats self on back* that was a fun time.

We are planning on going ...

We are planning on going to see it tonight. I just heard this morning on the news that they (whoever they are) were saying that it is too violent for kids.
