People on the Phone
I hate people who will call 5 times, knowing they've got the wrong frickin' number! What the first 4 times weren't enough for you? If there was a stupid stick someone must beat these people with it!
You pick up a call to get a recorded voice saying "please hold.....", screw that you're calling me if you are to busy to talk then don't bother, I'll hang up everytime.
We keep getting this advertising call for a cruise with a very loud foghorn sounding. Its bad enough we get ads over the phone but ones that damage our hearing realy don't appeal to us at all.
I am sick sick sick sick sick of calling a company who has obviously sent their call center overseas but try and pull the wool over your eyes! They train these people to sound more American; wouldn't it be easier to just keep the jobs here?
I wanna pull someone's lips off when I excuse myself to get a pen or whatever but they continue talking anyway! People need to learn to listen and not talk!
People who will repeat the same info over and over and over! UGH, I got it the first two times you told me.
People who cannot speak properly just annoy the hell outta me. Someone was spelling her name for me and said this "rahh" WTF what letter is that supposed to be?
You take a message with a phone number when someone says the number they gave you is not the number they can be reached at. IF YOU CAN'T BE CONTACTED AT THAT NUMBER THEN WHY DID YOU GIVE IT TO ME!

Great list!! I'd like to add one as well: People that are talking to you, and SEE you answer the phone but keep talking....
WA - I had something like that with my phone. This girl kept calling, but I didn't answer - didn't know the number. One day I finally picked up, SUPER PISSED (this was week 4) and she said "Is chris there" I said no, he's not, and stop calling my fucking phone... She said her good friend chris said this was his number, and all I said was "Well he must not be that good of a friend - this has been my number for over a year!"

oh MAN, I answer the phone all the time and those stupid recordings come on all the time talking about "please hold..." I NEVER DO!
or what about the people who call there (a place of business) and ask for somebody like this, "can I speak to Bob?" okaaayyyy, bob WHO?? what dept does bob work in? like I know the first names of everybody who works here AND the dept too?? and THEN when I ask them which dept for them, THEY DON'T KNOW!!!!

LOL Dawn - We have 3 Mikes where I work, and for some reason NONE of them give out their last name!! So then people call up and say "Hi can I talk to Mike" and when I say "Which Mike" they just get silent!!
One thing here is that I always have to get an explanation of what people need before I can transfer them. They'll call for service, and yeah that's great, but our ENTIRE company does service!!! Do you need alarms, or sprinklers, or WHAT kind of service??? I had a guy SCREAM at me yesterday "I NEED ALL THE SERVICE YOU HAVE" and it took everything I had NOT to hang up on his rude ass. Next time I'm going to!
But we hired a new girl so I'm done with phones!
