Is it this one - Kodak 12x Zoom 8.0 Megapixel Digital Camera w/ Optical IS ?

If so, yeah, that's a democratic camera alright so you *Know* it's good! LOL!

But seriously, 12x optical zoom, image stabilization, those are the kind of things I'd look for if in the market for a camera in that class. Well, that and a price like you got there. That looks to be a very good deal.

The Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens is an amazing feature for that price range. Schneider has long been known as one of the top three makers of the highest quality optical glass in the world along with Zeiss and Super Angulon. I'm not sure if the latter is still in business but Zeiss and Schneider (originally both for photography only) have each found profitable niches in the medical/scientific and amateur photography markets. Zeiss also makes eyeglass lenses. You can't go wrong with brand names like these anywhere you find them.
