guess what happened?
So they just laid out the news Tuesday, that the whole Alcoa Rockdale Plant is closing. They already got my husband on 9/7, in the second round of layoffs, which both of those rounds total was 160 people. Now, 660 people are being laid off so they can close the plant. The #'s i just gave you are just people who get a check from Alcoa, this does not include the 7 other companies that are out there doing contracting work for Alcoa, but needless to say, There are a total of about 1500-2000 people looking for a job.
We are moving this weekend, i will try to get on later and give you a little more info, but we are doing fine so far. I just aven't had a chance to get on, because I am training a new girl for my spot!!!
