I just cancelled my HBO because they are running an ignaguration special (it said on all thier channels) and on thier home page there is a HUGE "we are one with Obama".

What I dont understand is how I keep hearing we are on the verge of a depression, financial times have not been so hard since......bla bla bla. You're pretty funny blaming one person when it is the HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS who are so ecstatic that the Bush era is finally Finally Over and on top of that we've elected such a terrific man as Obama is.
You'd have to be dumber than Bush (which is about as dumb as it gets) to think that this enormous amount of enthusiasm from the 75%-80% of the public who hate what Bush put us through are all wrong and you, the tiny minority, are right in thinking this is much ado about nothing.

well, you guys HAD to know that this would be made into a big deal, after all, a black president is a HUGE deal, so you know why, you knew to expect that when he won. some schools here won't be open that day, not sure WHY, but now some students have monday AND tuesday off next week. my kids are only off on monday but they are showing the inauguration in school to them on tuesday.

In all fairness, I hope obama succeeds in every endeavor he undertakes, BUT....I'm afraid America will be sorely disappointed when they finally see him for what he is.... just a man, just another politician who has made promises that are going to be very hard to keep. He is not superman, he does not have magical abilities to solve this country's problems. They were not created in a year or two, and will not be dealt with in a year or two. Anybody got a cold beer I can mooch?
