You are so wrong on this. You know you are but you still keep saying it because of your core beliefs. Ronald Reagan had the biggest peace time job creation in the history of the United States. You however are a socialist so you have to say it didn't work. Most people smarter then you agree that Reagan did a hell of a job. You are trying to rewrite history.

Gays don't have equal rights. Just recently up here they were given sorta equal rights. They still can't get married or adopt kids, but now they can be on each others health insurance and that sort of thing. Gays don't have equal rights because of religious freaks that think it's a "sin" to love someone of the same sex. Gays don't have equal rights because they're still the targets of hate crimes. Gays don't have equal rights, or the right to get married, because of the pressure religion puts on politicians. Seriously, do we have all crime solved to the point that we can care about what the gays are doing? Do we have all the rapists and murderers and child molesters off the streets? No, and until then I don't think we need to be concerned with what us gays are doing.

God shouldn't be in the classroom. If you want to learn about god, go to a church. If you want to learn how to add and spell, go to a school.

As for abortion - I agree with banning partial birth abortions, because the child is partially born. If you're going to go the 9 months to get to this point, then almost have the kid just to kill it, then yes, you should just have the kid and give it away. But I'm not against abortion when done earlier, there are reasons for it and I believe it is the womans choice.

like I said before, there always were gay people and there always WILL be gay people, not giving them rights WON'T make them go away, like the saying goes if you can't beat them JOIN them. allow them to have rights like we do, I see no problem with it.

I am pro choice, always have been, but there IS a limit, in my opinion, it should be done before 12 weeks. I don't agree with late term abortion or partial abortion. personally, I'd RATHER the woman just give the baby up for adoption cuz there are many people who'd like to adopt babies.

well, religion hasn't been part of the school system in so long, as far as I know, but I think a limited amount in the schools, Lord knows, wouldn't hurt!

One thing I will say about all this talk:
we have people coming here talking about Obama this and Obama that and I say give him a chance. whenever we have someone new, seems like everyone says that it's gonna go to hell, awful things are gonna happen, blah, blah blah. seems like people WANT this to happen, when they talk like that. all this mess we're in wasn't created in one day, so it won't be fixed in one day. it will take time, months, years even. yeah, you may not agree with EVERYTHING he chooses to do BUT in the end I believe, him being the president, that he's doing what he thinks is best for the country at that time. will he make mistakes, OF COURSE, no one is perfect, but hopefully we can overcome any wrong choices and survive to tell about it and learn and grow from it! it just seems like most of you don't even want to give him a chance...he's only been in office for TWO months now. and most of the damage that's going on now, what he's trying to fix, was done LONG BEFORE he even got here!

Mad Vulcan, I can name quite few rights that gays don't have that you do:

- The right to openly serve thier country in the armed forces.

- The right to adopt children in many states.

- Gay and lesbians can be denied housing based upon sexual orientation.

- Same sex couples are not granted the right to be married.

- Gay people are routinely denied medical decision making rights to thier partner, somthing that doesn't affect hetrosexual couples. In fact, partners are often not even allowed to visit sick boyfriends/girldfriends while in hospital.

- Lesbians and gay men are not allowed to file joint tax returns.

I could on but I think you get the picture.

I cannot marry the same sex ether.

It is called power of attorney. Or living will to give the right to make that decision so they can make medical decisions.
