Bush ran roughshod over the judicial system and this is but one example. There was also the federal judges scandal.
Sure the government is set up to be made of three separate branches, and that's all well and good in theory, even in practice when the rules are followed. Bush made up his own rules. Bush thumbed his nose at anything that he did not agree with and merely asserted Executive Powers taking from Congress and the law powers that are written into the Constitution as NOT being available to the executive branch for the specific purpose of avoiding a Bush style dicatorship.
Thank goodness it's over. Those who were wrongly imprisoned though, those who died due to Bush, their lives and the lives of their families will never be the same. Bush belongs in prison. Those corrupt judges should be imprisoned for a grand total of a year for every single year they locked up the innocent (in other words, life and then some, quite a bit more). And the prison officials, all those involved, the EPA and bank regulators who were all in on his power grab money grab greedy bastards all belong locked up for what they've done to this country.

President Obama, just now in his address to the Congress and the Nation, said what he thought of the fact that Bush gave away those HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to the banks with NOOOOO STRINGS ATTACHED and how wrong that was, how destructive that was, how he (President Obama will not do the same) and BOTH "sides of the aisle" (meaning democrats AND republicans) gave him THUNDERING APPLAUSE - so THUNDERING and ENDURING that he had to ask them "please" and again "please" to get them to settle down and sit down.
Now if YOU are sooooo stooooooopid as to disagree with everyone else on this point, or if anyone else is sooooo stooooooopid, they can just eat my shorts. It's time to move on alright, and it's also time to get some of those HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS back or at least jail the rat bastards like Bush who made backroom deals with their buddies to steal all that money from US!!!!!!!!

The Bush years are over...and it would be nice if we could just forget them and move on. There's a new man in town and it's now HIS job to fix the mess this country is in.
I must say that thus far, I'm actually impressed. I have to give Obama credit for the comment he made about the new helicopter our Country spent bazillions of dollars on (why??) as Obama said something like, "I don't know why I got a new helicopter since I was more than happy with the one I had. However..I never had a helicopter before..so what would I know??" LOL!!
He continued that he was going to speak with Congress about the necissity (sp) of spending taxpayers money on something like this.
In addition...from what I've read..Michelle Obama has already told Whitehouse staff that they don't need to wear tuxedoes for dinner and that they would be having pizza at times..in which the staff would be invited to enjoy with them.
The girls make their own beds and clean their own rooms.
To me..this is the start of a brand new leadership for all of us. The Obama family seems very down to earth and must be a nice change for the Whitehouse staff who must have worn tuxedoes for the "Bush Bunch".
Let's give the man a chance people..from what I've seen thus far..I'm impressed.

The President is NOT the supreme ruler of this land. He does NOT rule with an iron fist, although you would like to believe Bush did. Bush is NOT a supreme being like you think he is. Clintons murdered someone now? Prove it! Just like the republicans tried to frame Gary Condit for Chandra Levy's murder by ignoring material evidence and maintaining their tunnel vision focus on him instead of trying to protect the public from the real murderer who is a serial murderer and may have gotten away with more murders as a result of their evil zealous attempt to frame an innocent democrat. They can't even prove he had an affair with her! They met outside of the workplace and that is all they are able to prove. For that he did not deserve to be railroaded out of office.
Consider the fact that Gary Condit was an important member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, a committee which oversees the House Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security and Bush was using that as an excuse for an all out power grab as a totalitarian answering to no one, surely not to the other two branches of the federal government. There's your motive. The Clintons did a world of good for the United States. The Bush regime tore it down to the ground. You can choose the dark side if you like but I know who I'm going to trust.
