Bea Arthur

Bea Arthur star of Maude and Golden Girls died on Saturday morning.

Bea was one of my favorite actresses. Her turb as Maude was considered ground breaking, she was the sassy foil to the brash Archie Bunker. I remember seeing her on All in the Family, she always managed to to outwit poor ole Archie!

She'll, in my mind, best be remembered for her role as Dorothy on the Golden Girls. She had outstanding chemistry with her "mother" Sophia (the recently deceased Estelle Getty), so much so that many feel they carried the show. The banter between the ladies on the show has yet to be matched by any other show.

Rest In Peace Bea, you will be missed.

I agree with you across the board. I will miss her tremendously. Thank God she lived to be 83.

golden girls was a bunch ...

golden girls was a bunch of foul-mouthed, vulgar, old biddies who bored me to tears the first (and last) time I tried to watch it.

Hey Diolma, how bout ...

Hey Diolma, how bout pulling the stick out?

No lie rkinne01...who ...

No lie rkinne01...who cares about his/her opinions anyway??

My mom (bless her deceased heard) used to love Golden Girls and while ironing..I used to hear a laugh from her all the time while watching Golden Girls...it was refreshing to hear her laugh!!

BTW Diolama...they weren't foul mouthed at all. Not anymore than the rest of stupid tv is right now where you hear the word "bitch", "screw you" and any cuss works short of the word f*** on tv day in and day out.
