Copy of a recent letter to my congressperson. . .

Madam, I am writing you directly because you are a one who may be able to hear what I am proposing. No, I am not asking a favor of money or anything, I am just asking ONE question; WHAT if we, as a COUNTRY, actually made ALL medical insurance (the private ones) available to EVERYONE in the country. It would do two things very quickly- it would FORCE the insurance companies to compete against each other and bring down their own premiums (like the auto insurance companies), and two; it would make ALL medical insurance more accessible to the common citizen.
Isn't that what we all REALLY want? This could be MORE of a universally accepted PRIVATE insurance plan that we Americans would be proud of, in my opinion.
Anyway, that is what I have to say about this issue.

Respectfully, Walter H.
